Freemasonry so closely follows the Bible in its method of teaching by types, emblems, and allegorical figures that we believe a Masonic Concordance will be welcomed by the Craft.
Freemasonry is inseparably connected with the Holy Bible and Biblical Lore, both historically and traditionally. Nearly all phases of the Masonic Ritual in all its degrees point to some Biblical reference either direct or implied. The Holy Bible and Freemasonry teach the same system of morality, veil it in allegory, and illustrate it by symbols. Consider the various definitions of Freemasonry and see if it is not closely related to the Bible. For instance:
Albert Pike: “Freemasonry is the subjugation of the human, that is, in man, by the Divine; the conquest of the appetites and passions by the moral sense and the reason; a continual effort, struggle, and warfare of the spiritual, against the material and sensual.”
